Shawna Schutz, RN

Resident Care Coordinator

Shawna was born and raised in Utah County and feels that it is the best place to live and raise a family. She graduated from UVU in 1995 and has been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years. She has worked in the senior-care industry for over 15 years and has a passion for working with older adults. Shawna loves building lasting relationships with both residents and her coworkers. She looks forward to coming to work each day because of the opportunity she has to build meaningful connections. In her free time, Shawna enjoys cooking (and eating), travel, and most of all spending time with her family.

Shannon Winn-Horne

Dining Services Director

Shannon was born in Colorado but raised in Utah. Growing up, she spent her days baking, and knew she wanted to be a chef by ten years old. While attending UVU’s culinary program, she quickly learned the baking world was not for her, and instead fell in love with hot foods. Shannon began working in the food service industry at fifteen and worked as a line cook until her role at Legacy Village. When not at work, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs. She loves being outdoors, gardening, hiking, and taking care of her 47 houseplants.

Josh Espinoza

Recreation Director

Josh grew up right here in Provo and has a degree in public health with an emphasis in public administration from BYU. He has known he wanted to work with seniors from a young age – his mother is a home health nurse and inspired a passion for senior care in him. In his role as Recreation Director, he is excited to build an environment where residents and associates alike can truly have fun. For Josh, the residents at Legacy are his family away from home. Josh and his wife have visited 27 countries together, and he loves sharing his passion for travel with Legacy residents.

Ricardo Bencosme

Maintenance Director

Ricardo has been a member of the Legacy family since 2004. Ricardo worked for two sister-communities prior to joining the team at Legacy Village of Provo. He always finds time to associate with residents and family members and strives to make a personal connection with each resident and family member. Ricardo was one of six recipients to receive the 2012 Corporate Personal Touch Award. When he isn’t at work, he enjoys riding horses and spending time with his family. Ricardo is a Board Member of the Utah Chapter of the Ponies of America Club where he is involved heavily with the youth organization.
