Jace Young

Executive Director

Jace grew up in San Diego, California, and moved to Utah in 2011. He majored in family studies and received a Master of Business Administration at UVU. Before entering the healthcare field, Jace worked as an advocate and director at a residential treatment facility for youth. He then worked in Home Health and Hospice for two years, and became an Assisted Living Administrator in 2019. He is grateful for his family, friends, residents, and team. Jace loves spending time outdoors, reading, and playing games and sports, especially with his wife and three children.

Emma Sorensen

Sales & Marketing Director

Emma Sorensen is the Sales and Marketing Director at Legacy. She hails from Salem, Utah, and her journey into the senior industry began when she cared for her grandmother after her Alzheimer’s diagnosis. This experience ignited her passion for working with older adults, and over the past seven years, Emma has dedicated herself to the field, gaining valuable experience in various roles. She enjoys working at Legacy because of the strong connections she’s built with residents and colleagues, and she appreciates the supportive, rewarding environment that feels like home.

Shelby Atwood

Assistant Administrator

Shelby has extensive experience in senior care. She first entered the field as a CNA, and held various positions before her current role as Assistant Administrator. She loves getting to know the residents of Legacy House and considers them a part of her family. Shelby is especially passionate about dementia care and loves connecting with residents in memory care. She believes every day is a new chance to make meaningful memories in the lives of our residents and their families. In her free time, Shelby loves spending time with her husband, watching movies, and reading.

Tami Lehman

Administrative Assistant

Tami was born and raised in Valparaiso, Indiana. Her family moved to Utah when she was in high school and she has lived in Spanish Fork ever since. She still consders the Midwest home, and visits often. Before joining the Legacy family, Tami was a stay-at-home mom to her five children. Tami has a gift when it comes to helping and caring for others, and she’s excited to use this gift to serve the residents of Legacy House of Spanish Fork. She truly loves the residents like they are her own family. When not at work, Tami loves to travel, ride her bike, swim, and spend time with her family.

MaKell Petersen, RN

Wellness Director

MaKell’s healthcare journey began as CNA and MedTech at Legacy in 2016. After serving a full-time mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to Micronesia Guam, she continued to work as a CNA for a home health company while attending an accelerated nursing program. She graduated with her RN in 2021 and loves working with older adults. When she isn’t working, she enjoys playing sports, teaching high fitness and spending time with her family. MaKell is grateful to be back at Legacy and feels blessed to have a career where she gets to help and love people every day.

SueDawn Sheetz

Recreation Director

SueDawn Sheetz, recreation director at Legacy House of Spanish Fork, designs innovative life enrichment and wellness programs that cater to a wide range of interests and abilities. SueDawn’s dedication to resident well-being is evident in her carefully curated monthly calendars, featuring a mix of physical, mental, and social activities. Her enthusiasm, creativity, and compassionate approach continually enrich the lives of residents, fostering a vibrant, supportive environment at Legacy.

Matt Hyatt

Maintenance Director

Matt was born and raised in Richfield, Utah. After graduating high school, Matt served an LDS mission to Iceland. Professionally, Matt has been involved in construction, restaurants, gas stations, and other businesses. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in accounting. Sports have always been a passion for Matt – he is a referee for high school and college softball and basketball. Matt is married and has four children; together they enjoy camping, hunting, and boating. Matt says the only fruit he eats are Skittles!
